Mrs. Carolyn McAlister Dickard, 92, wife of the late Wyatt Milton Dickard, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Hospice of the Upstate, Anderson.
Born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late James and Nora Ellison McAlister, Mrs. Dickard retired from textiles and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are one son, Ricky Dean Dickard of Easley and one daughter, Ann Major (Frank) of Easley; five grandchildren, Daniel and Cameron Dickard, Brian Major, Angela Neace and Deborah Trammell; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Dickard was predeceased by a son, Carroll M. Dickard; a daughter, Betty Jo Patterson; three brothers, Herman, Jess and Rob McAlister; three sisters, Rosa Pearl, Lois and Ida Mae McAlister; and three grandchildren, Terry, Eddie and Billy Joe Patterson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family is at the residence, 506 Blue Ridge Street, Easley, SC 29640.
