Carolyn Louise Russell Hackett, 61, of Ascot Drive, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at her home.
Born in Chester, SC, she is the daughter of Grace Reynolds Russell Baity of Greenville and the late Johnny O. Russell.
Carolyn owned and operated Designs By Russell Hair Salon in Powdersville. She was a graduate of Tri-County Technical College and attended Glenwood Wesleyan Church in Easley. She was a God fearing woman who loved animals, fishing, camping, and good music.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth W. Hackett of the home; a daughter, Melody Hope Long of Portland; two sons, Jason Long of Los Angeles and Noah Foster Long and wife Heather of Easley; two grandchildren, Aubrey Long and Isaiah Hackett; two sisters, Linda Raines and Judith Russell both of Spartanburg; a brother, Ralph Russell of Spartanburg; and her step father, Pete Baity of Greenville.
In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a brother, Rusty Russell.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
