Carolyn Boyer Harper

October 15, 1936 — January 21, 2019

Carolyn B. Harper, 82, wife of Billy Ray Harper, passed away peacefully Monday, January 21, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Crossett, AR, a daughter of the late Paul Henry Boyer and the late Mary Edith Higgins Boyer, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking goodies for Christmas, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Harper was a retired nurse at St. Frances Hospital after many years of service and she was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Alan R. Harper (Sandra) of Greenville; daughters, Denise H. Thomas (Steve) of Piedmont and Debra H. Bolt (Pete) of Rock Hill; grandchildren, Rachel T. Joye (Jeremy of Spartanburg and Samantha E. Bolt of Pawley's Island; and great-grandchildren, Harper Leigh Joye and Mary Quinn Joye, both of Spartanburg.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Col. Joe C. Boyer USAF (ret.); and a sister, Shirley B. Hill.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
