Carolyn Eugenia Hunnicutt, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, January 24, 2017.
Born in Pickens County, the daughter of the late Charles Garvin Hunnicutt and the late Edith Allgood Hunnicutt, Carolyn was a graduate of Easley High School and attended the South Eastern Institute of Chapel Hill, NC. She was a former Executive Secretary with the Easley Chamber of Commerce for thirteen years, served as a Pickens County Social Services Clerk for twenty-five years and a Pickens County Health Department Clerk for six years. She was the longest living member of Easley First Baptist Church of eighty-four years, a charter member of the Business Professional Club and the S.C. Secretaries Association.
Surviving are a nephew, William Alfred Hunnicutt (Judy) of Whitewright, TX; and a large host of friends and church family. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by a brother, Charles Edwin Hunnicutt; a nephew, James C. Hunnicutt; and a niece, Susan E. Hunnicutt.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 27, 2017 at Easley First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. John Adams officiating.
Entombment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Easley First Baptist Church, 300 East First Avenue, Easley, SC 29640.
