Carolyn Pope Abrams Morgan, 89, of Clemson and widow of Stanley Carlisle Morgan died Saturday, May 21, 2011.
Mrs. Morgan was born in Newberry County a daughter of the late Raymond T. and Carlie Cave Abrams. She graduated from Winthrop College with a BS degree is Home Economics and retired from First Federal Savings and Loan Assoc. of Greenville as an Assistant Vice President. Along with her husband Carlisle they owned Morgan's Flowers in Clemson. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clemson where she was active in Sunday School, WMU and Keenagers. She was a past member of the Garden Club and the UDC.
She is survived by two nephews, Darrly M. Reed and wife, Delores of Clemson and Tedford F. Reed and wife, Mary Martha of Durham, NC; a great niece and two great-nephews and a great-great niece.
A graveside service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday at Lawrence Chapel UMC Cemetery in Central.
A Memorial service will follow at 11 AM Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Clemson with the family greeting friends immediately following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials the family requests that memorials be made to the Building Fund of Clemson First Baptist Church, 397 College Ave., Clemson, SC 29631.
The family will be at the home of Mrs. Morgan at Apt. 208 A, 150 Downs Blvd, Clemson, SC 29631.
