Carolyn Burdette Smith, 73, of 117 Wedgewood Drive and wife of the late Jason Leland Smith, passed away Tuesday July 29, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Smith was born in Easley, SC to the late Robert "Bob" Wesley and Hilda Ruth Vickery Burdette. She graduated from Easley High School and attended Clemson University and Central Wesleyan College. She was an Assistant Kindergarten Teacher at McKissick Elementary School and a very active member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir for over 50 years.
Surviving are her son, Reggie Smith and his wife, Ginger, of Taylors, SC; a daughter, Angela Scott, of Easley; a sister, Anne Burdette Keith, of Easley and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 3:00 pm Friday at St. Andrew United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 2:45 pm Friday, prior to the service, at the church.
The family is at the residence.
Memorials may be made to St. Andrew United Methodist Church - Building Fund, 309 Pelzer Highway, Easley, SC 29642.
