Carrol D. Edens, 69, of 4108 Dacusville Highway, died Tuesday, October 23, 2007, at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late George C. and Annie Chastain Edens, Mr. Edens was a graduate of Clemson University and retired as owner of Mid-South Textile Machinery Company. He was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of the US Air Force.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Williams Edens of the home; two sisters, Betty Holliday of Pickens and Catherine Gilstrap of Sunset; several nieces and nephews; and special family, Saso, Sofija and Alexander Kocevski who moved here from Macedonia . In addition to his parents, Mr. Edens was predeceased by a brother, Carmon L. Edens and by a sister, Racheal Stewart.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Tommy Owens, Rev. Jack Mahaffy and Rev. Austin O'Donald officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
The family is at the residence.
