Carrol Lark Matheny

Carrol Lark Matheny, 91, of Anderson, formerly of Monroe, GA, wife to the late William James Matheny, passed away May 6, 2022.

Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Ben Perry and Effie Burnette Lark.  Mrs. Matheny graduated from Easley High School and was a homemaker.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clemson.

She is survived by her sons, Benjamin Theodore Matheny and David Eric Matheny, both of Georgia; sister, Frances Bagwell of Spartanburg.  Mrs. Matheny is also survived by three granddaughters, a great grandson, great granddaughter, many nieces, nephews and extended family members that she loved.

Carrol was predeceased by her husband, parents, brothers, Benjamin Perry Lark, William Frank Lark, H.J. Lark, William Perry Lark and Bobby G. Lark; sisters, Florence Ruth Fortner and Mary Ellen Stewart.

A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, May 15th at the Corley Center Clemson Downs, 150 Downs Blvd., Clemson, SC 29631.
