Mr. Carroll Franklin Anthony, 68, husband of Glenda Gilstrap Anthony, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at his home.

Born in Greenville County, a son of the late Wilton Daniel "Tom" Anthony and the late Elizabeth Riggins Anthony, Mr. Anthony was a graduate of Pickens High School, North Greenville College, Carson Newman College and Clemson University where he received his Master's degree. Mr. Anthony was a teacher at Dacusville Jr. High School for twelve years and later retired from Alice Manufacturing. He was a member of Georges Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Abram Carroll Anthony (Marjorie) of Easley; a daughter, Alice Elizabeth Anthony (Ron) of James Island; a brother, John Daniel Anthony of Pickens; two sisters, Jean Knight (Phil), and Judy Medlin (Daryl), all of Easley; and one grandchild, Willa Bell.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Georges Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM Tuesday at the church, prior to the service.

The family is at the home.
