Catherine "Cat" McNeely Ballew, 82, of 305 Wyatt Road, wife of the late Bennie V. Ballew, Sr., went to be with Jesus Sunday, December, 28, 2008, at Hospice of the Upstate.
Born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late Herman and Alma Childers McNeely, Mrs. Ballew was a homemaker and a member of Living Sanctuary Church.
Surviving are two sons, Bennie V. Ballew, Jr. and wife, Lynn, of Piedmont and Bill Ballew and wife, Cheryl, of Easley; a daughter, Brenda B. Wyatt, and husband, John, of Piedmont; three brothers, George Thomas McNeely of Anderson, Carl McNeely of Naples, FL. and Roy McNeely of Piedmont; four sisters, Frances McDaniel of Easley, Betty Bryant of Fair Play, Nettie Stegall, of Piedmont, and Lucia Belcher of Easley; and seven grandchildren, Michael, Wesley, Joey, Alicia, Penny, Jenny and Billy. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ballew was predeceased by two brothers, Wes McNeely and Paul McNeely and a sister, Janie Slater.
Funeral services will 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road, Easley, with Rev. Duree Propes officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 10:30 until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 775 Spartan Blvd. Spartanburg, SC 29301.
Family members are at their respective homes.
