Mrs. Catherine Winslett Brown, 92, wife of the late Perry Ford Brown, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, January 5, 2019.

Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Horace Lee Winslett, Sr. and the late Kate Ballentine Winslett, Mrs. Brown was a 1944 graduate of Easley High School and retired from Easley Textiles with forty years of service. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Bobby Brown (Kay), and Ricky Brown, all of Easley; two daughters, Ann Brown and Libby Dodson, both of Easley; two daughters-in-law, Paula Brown and Betty Brown, both of Easley; a sister, Dora Ann Twiford (Doc) of Kannapolis, NC; seven grandchildren, Ford O. Brown, Dawn Powell, Susan Brown, Kiley Brown, Shelley Sanders, Adison Brown, all of Easley, and Donna Keaton of West Union, SC; two great-grandchildren, Abi Grace Powell and Drew Sanders; and close friends, Robert and Debbie Dover.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Brown was predeceased by two sons, Mike Brown and Donnie Brown; three brothers, Walter "Pop" Winslett, Jimmy "Slew" Winslett and Horace Winslett, Jr.; three sisters, Eme Smith, Mary Bagwell and Helen Lynes; and a son-in-law, Marvin Dodson.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from noon until 1:45 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
