Catherine Dorsey Mulkey, 70, of 403 Bethlehem Ridge Road, went to be with the Lord, Monday morning, May 18, 2009 at her home.
Born in Liberty, a daughter of the late Bascam and Pearl Stancil Dorsey, she was the proud owner of Town-n-Country Florist for 39 years where she touched the lives of many through her beautiful flowers. Catherine was a member of East Pickens Baptist Church.
Surviving is her husband of 49 years, Jack Mulkey of the Richard Campbell VA Nursing Home of Anderson, two sons, Patrick Mulkey of the home, Chuck and wife, Renea Mulkey of Anderson; grandchildren, Justin and Marisa Mulkey of Jacksonville, Cheyenne Mulkey of Pickens, Claudia and Easton Mulkey of Anderson; great grandson, Tucker O'Brien Mulkey; a brother, David Hampton Dorsey of Brookside Living Center, Anderson; a very special neice, Debbie Dorsey Chappell of Easley.
She was predeceased by brothers, Feltz, J. Hue and J.B. Dorsey; a sister, Ellen Griffin.
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Thursday at East Pickens Baptist Church with Revs. H.C. Couch and Paul Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 12 noon.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 PM, Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
