Catherine Cannon Owens, 95, of 102 Mary Ann Street, wife of the late Lionel K. Owens, Sr., passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at her home.
Born in Easley, she was the daughter of the late Henry Grady Cannon and Hattie Boggs Cannon.
Mrs. Owens was retired from Delta Woodside in Greenville and was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church and the Lucille Searcy Sunday School Class. She loved her Lord, family, sewing and reading.
Surviving are her children, Robert A. Owens (Janice) and Lionel K. Owens, Jr. (Nancy) all of Easley, Michael "Hank" Owens (Paula) of Pickens, Catherine Owens Phillips of Satellite Beach, FL and Elaine Owens Martin (Sam) of Slidell, LA; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; a brother, Henry Grady Cannon of Easley; and a brother-in-law, James T. Owens.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son-in-law, David Phillips; and sisters, Alice Cannon Thrasher and Lucille Cannon Galloway.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 309 Pelzer Highway, Easley, SC 29642 or Interim HealthCare Hospice, 16 Hyland Road, Greenville, SC 29615.
The family will be at the home.
