Catherine Ellenburg Posey, 64, wife of Stanley Posey of Easley, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 at Cannon Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Ruth Browning Crowe Ellenburg, Mrs. Posey was a homemaker and a member of Glassy Mountain View Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are four sons, Richard Posey, Stan Posey, II (Wanda), Sgt. Brian Posey (Melissa) and Shane Posey (Justine); two brothers, Terry Crowe and Tom V. Crowe; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Posey was predeceased by a sister, Judy E. Fulmer.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
