Catherine Elizabeth Porter Riggins, 86, of 1743 Eighteen Mile Road and widow of Lawrence D. Riggins, died Sunday morning at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Anderson County she was a daughter of the late David and Dora Sentell Porter. Mrs. Riggins was a former employee of the Greek Gallery of Central and Pratt-Read and Company. She was a member of Refuge Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Roger (Doris) Riggins, Rodney Riggins, Randy (Donna) Riggins all of Central and Robbie (Wanda) Riggins of Seneca; daughters, Peggy (Wallace) Kelly of Pendleton, Jeanie Riggins of Central and Michelle Rogers of Seneca; brother, Doyle Porter of Denver, NC; sisters, Frances Moore, Alice Crawford and Martha Riggins all of Pendleton; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Riggins was predeceased by a great-grandson, Matthew Riggins.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Tuesday at Refuge Baptist Church with burial to follow in Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Refuge Baptist Church, P.O. Box 301, Pendleton, SC 29670.
