Cecil "Curtiss" Burdette, Jr.

Cecil "Curtiss" Burdette, Jr., 88, husband of Shirley Chambers Burdette, of Easley, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Lurline Hendrix and Cecil Curtiss Burdette, Sr.

Mr. Burdette retired from Michelin after 25 years of service and was a member of Brandon Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and traveling. One of his most memorable adventures was a road trip to Alaska with his wife, spending three weeks on the road there and back.

In addition to his loving wife of 67 years, Mr. Burdette is survived by two sons; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Ann Burdette Eades.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 13, 2026 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum #3 with entombment to follow.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm, Sunday, September 13, 2026 in the mausoleum.
