Chad Steven Cothran

Chad Steven Cothran of Powdersville, South Carolina went to his heavenly home on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 51 years of age after a year-long fight with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Anderson, SC, and was a Division Manager at LKN Mechanical in Greer, SC. 

Chad will always be remembered for being everyone’s “superman” and taking care of the people he loved. He loved to travel with his wife, attend heavy metal concerts, and enjoyed destination marathon running. He was passionate about living a healthy and active lifestyle. In his free time, he excelled in home renovation. He was known for teaching strong values to his children.  To know him was to love him. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish Chad’s many memories are his loving wife, Corinna Casey Cothran; a son, Brian Hyman; and five daughters, Lauren Liberty (Eric), Megan Cothran, Brianna Hyman, Reagan Cothran, and Kaylee Belk; three grandchildren that affectionately called him “Papa”, Colton Liberty, Vera Kate Liberty, and Logan Baldwin; also left to cherish his memories are his mother, Diane Whitaker and his two sisters, Angel Greer, and Stephanie McCall; as well as his special little buddies Romeo and Oscar. 

The family will receive friends between 1:00 – 2:45 PM prior to the funeral Service. A funeral service to honor Chad’s life will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, March 30, 2023, in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, Powdersville Road. The interment will follow the service in Robinson Memorial Garden Cemetery. 

Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Lee Bearden, Thomas Arther Bearden, Dillion Dakota Bowman, Eric Liberty, Brian Casey, and David Speight.  Also, Duane P. Tinsley will be serving as an honorary pallbearer.

Memorial contributions may be made to Anderson Cancer Association or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
