Mr. Charles Edward Alexander, 74, of Easley, husband of Carolyn Holliday Alexander, passed away Monday, October 17, 2011 at Rainey Hospice House.

Born December 17, 1936 in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Walter and Leila Dutton Alexander. Mr. Alexander was a US Navy veteran and retired in 2001 from Imperial Die Casting. He was a longtime member of Enon Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife of forty-nine years, he is survived by his daughters, Paula Williams (Bill) and Greta Alexander all of Easley; brothers, Larry Alexander (Connie) of Six Mile and Melvin Alexander (Carole) of Pickens; grandchildren, Laura Williams and Will Williams.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jerry Alexander and a sister, Mamie Lou Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Thursday, October 20, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Scott Willis and Rev. Mark Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of Paula and Bill Williams, 534 Old Dacusville Rd., Easley, 29640.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Upstate 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
