Charles Lewis Bell, 77, husband for fifty-nine years, to the late Geraldine Rice Bell, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, January 13, 2022.
Born in Greenville SC, a son of the late Robert Pulliam Bell Sr. and the late Katherine Spearman Bell, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who enjoyed fishing, collecting seashells, singing, and spending time with his family. Charles was always known for telling the best jokes and making everyone laugh. He was a plumber for Daniel Construction, and he attended First Free Will Baptist Church in Greenville.
Surviving, are daughters, Karen Turner (Wade) of Powdersville and Tracy Harris (Ricky) of Greenville; grandchildren, Stephanie, Kensie, Chad, Robert, Autumn, Marissa, Abby, Grace, Kacie, Kayla, Samantha, and Josh; eighteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold Bell (Alva), Jerry Bell, and his beloved dog, Charlie.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, Steve Bell; a sister, Margaret Bell; brothers Ralph Bell, Robert Bell and Gene Bell.
The family will host a celebration of life at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022, at First Free Will Baptist Church, 242 Old Grove Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, 242 Old Grove Road, Greenville, SC 29605 and American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
