Charles Kenneth Chandler, Sr., 87, husband of the late Joan Burgess Chandler, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
Born in Greenville County, a son of the late Odus Chandler and the late Lois Coker Chandler, he was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who enjoyed fishing, purple martins, and spending time with his family. Mr. Chandler proudly served his country in the US Marines during the Korean War. He retired as a lineman for Duke Power after thirty-five years of service and later had his own business, Powdersville Lawn Care. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Charles Kenneth Chandler, Jr. of Powdersville; brothers, Marvin "Buddy" Chandler (Peggy) of Piedmont, Tom Chandler of Anderson, Ray Chandler (Marlene "Molly") of Powdersville, Leon Chandler (Jean) of Belton, and Jerry Chandler of Laurens; a grandson, Jacob Chandler; and great-grandchildren, Jason Chandler, Elizabeth Chandler, and Lyla Chandler.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Billy Chandler; a sister, Diane Mills; and a grandson, Justin Chandler.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642. Entombment will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum.
Mr. Chandler will be available for viewing on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road during the hours of 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642.
