Mr. Charles "C.T." Truman Childress, Jr., 79, husband of the late Smokey Shan Brooks Childress, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022.

Born in Greenville County, the son of the late Charles Truman Childress, Sr. and the late Ethel Reese Childress, Mr. Childress was a graduate of Easley High School, a retired sewing machine mechanic and of the Baptist faith. C.T. loved to play the guitar and sing, but his greatest love was for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are three daughters, Shannon Simmons (Tim), Crystal Childress, and Robin Smith; two sons, Shane Childress and Chuck Childress; and five grandchildren, Nathan Smith, Andrew Smith, Kirsten Smith, Christian Simmons and Krysta Simmons. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Childress was predeceased by a sister, Linda Williams.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley.
