Charles H. "Charlie" Curll, Jr.

Jan 27, 1960 — Jul 7, 2026

Easley, SC

Charles "Charlie" H. Curll, Jr., beloved husband of Julie Gale Curll, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the age of 66. He was born on January 27, 1960, in Malden, MA, and was a son of the late Charles Curll and the late Jean Morrissey Curll, Sr.. Charlie was known for his larger-than-life personality, quick wit, and fun and generous spirit. He was a true friend who showed up when needed, dug in and made it all work as long as you just stayed out of his way.

He graduated from Melrose High School before attending Boston College for a year, as promised to his mother. After that year was up, he immediately joined the Marine Corp., his life-long dream. He later joined the Carpenter’s Union in Boston before moving to SC, where he worked as a carpenter and in facilities maintenance. He joined the Army National Guard, first part-time and then full-time after 9/11/01. He proudly retired as Master Sergeant after many years of service. After retirement, he served as a military contractor, giving advice to retired military, which he continued to give long after leaving that position. He truly was an advocate for veterans and their needs.

He was kind, but fearless, ferocious in nature, talented, dedicated and determined to everything he set his mind to. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling and working with wood and machinery in his workshop. He was an avid hunter and found great pleasure in riding his Harley motorcycle on the open road. Most importantly, he adored his family and taking time to laugh with them and his friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of - years; son, Charles William "Billy" Curll; brother, Jack Curll (Linda); sister, Anne Anagnos and numerous extended family members and friends who loved him.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Rd, Easley, SC 29642.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly request that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at https://woundedwarriorproject.org. or a charity of one's choice that provides assistance to veterans.

Charlie will truly be missed by all of those who knew him. May his legacy continue with the memories made by his family and friends.
