Charles "DINK" Burdette

Charles Dennis "DINK" Burdette, of Pendleton, South Carolina, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 22, 2020. Born August 15, 1934 in Liberty, SC son of Dennis Clemson and Doskie (Manley) Burdette.

Dink served several years in the U.S. Army and worked 40+ years in Textiles before retiring from Glen Raven Mills. Dink served his community as a charter member of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church previously known as second Baptist Church of Pendleton. In addition to his love of gardening, noodle fishing, and spending time with his family, he served with the Masons for over 40 years.
In addition to his parents Dink was predeceased by his wife, Margaret McAdams Burdette; two brothers, Bobby Burdette, Billy Burdette; a sister, Shelby Jean Smith.

Surviving two sons, Rev. Eddie Burdette and wife Mitzi of Pendleton and Greg Burdette of Central; a brother, Joel Burdette of Pendleton; a sister, Sarah Kelly of Central; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Dink will be missed greatly by his friends and family whom he enjoyed spending time with.

Visitation will be 12:30-1:45 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 with funeral service to follow at 2 PM at Faith Fellowship Baptist Church, 2230 Old Greenville Hwy, Pendleton SC. Service will be officiated by Pastor Coty Black and Rev. David Kay. Burial will follow with military honors at Memory Gardens in Clemson.
