Charles Wesley Hamet, 87, husband of Marietta Saunders Hamet, passed away, Sunday, July 13, 2014 at his home.
Born May 4, 1927 in Dacusville, he was the son of the late Andrew and Maybelle McGaha Hamet. Mr. Hamet was a US Navy veteran serving in WWII and retired from LTV Steel with thirty four years of service. He was a member of Washington Avenue Church of God.
In addition to his wife of forty one years, he is survived by his children, Brenda Howes, Edward Hamet, Jerry Hamet, Judy Tigue, Cheryl Hamet, Debra Ballash and Tammy Wells; fourteen grandchildren and twenty five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Travis B. Hamet in 2006.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum at Robinson Memorial Gardens with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
