Charles Witherspoon Huggins, 68, husband of Betty Ann Marvin Huggins, died Sunday, August 27, 2017 at his home.
He was a native of Bishopville, SC. He was a son of the late Mary Lois Stokes and Charles Witherspoon Huggins I.
He attended Clemson University prior to spending his whole career in Law Enforcement and the Court system. He worked with the Pickens County Sheriffs Department and Anderson City Police Department Department before serving for 30 plus years as the Director of Operations with the Anderson County Solicitors Office. He was presently serving as the Court Administrator for the City of Anderson since 2015.
He was the former Master of Hiram Lodge #68 A.F.M. In Anderson, SC. Currently served as Secretary since 2008. Member of Hiram Lodge #116 A.F.M. in Starr, SC. Member of the Anderson York Rite Bodies 32 degree, Scottish Rite Mason. He was also part of Hejez Shriners.
He was a member and former Deacon of First Baptist Church of Iva.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Charles W. (Laurel Wiker) Huggins III of Charleston, SC, Timothy Clayton (Jessica Coleman) Huggins of Anderson, SC and Cody Jordan Huggins of Starr, SC; brother, Anthony Dale Huggins of Bishopville, SC; grandchildren, Meadow Huggins, Silas Coleman, Brianna, Carissa, Tessa and Talia Huggins.
Memorial services will be 3 PM, Thursday, August 31, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Iva.
The family will greet friends at the home immediately following the service.
