Charles Arthur Meece, Jr., 66, of 273 Mauldin Road went home to be with the Lord Sunday, November 09, 2008, at his home.
Born in Transylvania County, NC, the son of the late Charles Arthur and Natha Lee Harkins Meece, Sr., Mr. Meece was formerly employed with Pickens Railroad Company and later retired from the Elljean Plant of Alice Manufacturing Company, and was a member of Landmark Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife Jessie Mae Cox Meece of the home; two sons, Gregory Dale Meece and wife, Sherri, of Easley; and Ray Nalley and wife, Teresa, of Conway; a daughter, Ann Sexton and husband, William, of Easley; two sisters, JoAnn Phillips of Easley, and Annette Nealey of Simpsonville; three grandchildren, Jonathan Riddle, Tim Riddle and Leslie Ann Meece; and two great-grandchildren, Alex Riddle and Alyssa Riddle.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Yates and Rev. Phillip Lovell officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of SC, 900 East Main Street, Easley, SC 29640.
