Charles Laurens "Larry" Mitchiner passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016.
A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Larry was selected from enlisted ranks for the NROTC scholarship program at the University of Tennessee where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He was a decorated veteran of U.S. Naval Aviation.
Larry's business career included corporate officer-level management positions in Administration, Marketing, and Finance with assignments in New Orleans, Washington, D.C., Buffalo, Anchorage, Seattle, New York City, and Greenville. As an entrepreneur, he was involved in insurance, business, and real estate brokerage. He was the founder/Broker-in-Charge of Carolina Homes Realty, retiring in 2008.
He is survived by his beloved wife, partner, helpmate and best friend of 44 years, Dorothy A. Mitchiner, and treasured family pets, Mimi and Teddy.
In keeping with his wishes, no visitation or memorial services will be held. Those wishing to make a memorial in his name may consider the Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Road, Greenville, SC 29607 or any No-Kill Animal Adoption Shelter.
