Charles Edward Nix

Charles Edward Nix, 80, husband of Margaret Powell Nix, died Thursday, November 10, 2011 at his residence. Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Charles S. and Mary Lois Nimmons Nix. He was a member of Calumet Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sisters, Mary Stancell of Easley, Julia Barker (Doyle) of Six Mile, Martha Gilstrap (Gerald) of Easley; brothers, Ralph Nix (Ida) of Liberty and Cliff Nix (Darlene) of Norris. He was predeceased by sisters, Novella Gunnells, Annie Woody, Barbara Hickey and Frances Watson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2pm in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-2pm prior to the service. Members of the Pace Bible Class of Calumet Baptist Church are asked to serve as Honorary Escorts.
