Mr. Charles William Pitts, 74, of 500 Wilderness Trail, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at his home.

Born in Oconee County, a son of the late Louis and Ruby Jones Pitts, Mr. Pitts was a retired Truck Driver and of the Methodist faith. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Bates Lodge 189 AFM.

Surviving are two sons, one daughter, one sister, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pitts was predeceased by one son, two daughters and one sister.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wenesday, May 11, 2011 in the M.J. Dolly Cooper Veteran Cemetery, Anderson.

The family will receive friends immediatly following the service.
