CHARLES E. "Pete" PORTER Pendleton
Charles Edgar "Pete" Porter, 75, husband of Sarah Haney Porter, died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at the Hospice House of Anderson. A life-long resident of Pendleton he was the son of Richard and Annie Bell Sentell Porter. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
In addition to his wife he is survived by daughters: Diane Martin (Eddie) of Six Mile, Wanda Thrasher (Scott) of Seneca, Sarah Donald (James) of Anderson, Teresa Stone of Pendleton, 6 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 1 brother and 4 sisters. He was predeceased by 6 brothers and 6 sisters and son, Ronald Porter.
The funeral service will be 2pm Saturday at the East Clemson Christian Fellowship with burial to follow in Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday at the Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home from 6-8pm. The body will be placed in the church at 1pm Saturday prior to the service.
