Charles Shockley

Charles "Chuck" Junior Shockley, 85, husband of Lucille Shockley, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 28, 2020.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late James C. Shockley and late Myrlon Smith Shockley. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy and was a hydraulic salesman before enjoying his retirement years. Chuck greatly enjoyed all sports, including golf and fishing, cooking for the holidays, and traveling with his wife. But most of all he loved spending time with his beloved family who will miss him very much.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 63 years, are sons, Michael J. Shockley (Lisa) of Reidville, Todd D. Shockley of Greenville, and Charles "Jeff" Shockley (Teresa) of Easley; daughters, Carrie L. Shockley of Easley, and Jennifer G. Childress (Eric) of Easley; nine grand-children, David C. Shockley, James M. Shockley, Lauren E. Smith, Elizabeth H. Thrasher, Michael J. Shockley, Justin T. Shockley, Taylor N. Raines, Ian A. Childress, and Elijah H. Childress; along with five great-grandchildren, Lily G. Stephens, Coltan R. Childress, Ava G. Childress, Waylon E. Raines, and Juniper M. Raines.
In addition to his parents, Chuck is predeceased by his brothers, Eugene Shockley and Jim Shockley and his sister, Judy Edelman.
A graveside service will be held December 2, 2020 at 12:00pm at Robinson Memorial Gardens. The family will accept friends and family prior to the service from 10:45am - 11:45am at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville. The family respectfully requests that all guests practice social distancing and wear masks.
