Charles S. Standart

Charles Salter Standart, 72, of 101 White Oak Court, died Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.
Born in Buffalo, New York, Mr. Standart was a son of the late Charles Melvin and Martha Lucinda Salter Standart. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, and he was a member of Beta Theta Pi. Mr. Standart retired from Robertshaw Controls in New Stanton, Pennsylvania, and he was a Methodist. A life member of New Stanton Volunteer Fire Department, Mr. Standart loved cats, computers, and photography.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Hindley Standart, of the home; one son, Michael Standart of Easley; two daughters, Diana Danko of New Stanton, Pennsylvania and Samantha Croushore of Bonaire, Georgia; one brother, Melvin Wesley Standart, of Rancho Murieta, California; and four grandchildren, Michael, Tymothee, Christian, and Noah Croushore.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local volunteer fire department or your local no-kill animal rescue group.
