Charles Sutherland, Sr.
Easley
Charles Newton Sutherland, Sr., 75, husband of Mary Frances Bridges Sutherland passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Clyde Cleveland and Annie Mae Rackley Sutherland. He retired from textiles and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Sutherland was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War Era.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, Charles Newton Sutherland, Jr., and wife Pam of Piedmont; a brother, Carlyle Sutherland of Easley; two sisters, Edna Mae King of Easley and Edith Shipman of Greenville. He was predeceased by three brothers, Cecil, Carl and Chester Sutherland.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
