Charles Allison Thomas Jr.

Charles Allison Thomas Jr., beloved husband of Rampey Eady Thomas, passed away on July 30, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

 Born in Longs, SC he was a son of Charles A. and Margaret Long Thomas. He obtained his master's degree from Clemson before earning his Ph.D. from The University of Tennessee. Charles was a veteran of the Korean War.

 In addition to his loving wife of 69 years, Charles is survived by his daughters; Isabel Anderson (Robert) of Whitsett, NC, Elizabeth "Beth" Thomas of Elberton, GA, Mary Diones (Earl) of Gaffney, SC, Leah Romero (Todd) of Pendleton, SC, and Emma Black of Clemson; along with 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Amy Johannsen and brothers William Horace Thomas and Gene Long.

The family would like to thank Freedom Home Care and Beth his hospice nurse for their unwavering support.
