Rev. Charles Lee Thrower, 81, husband of the late Mamie Burgess Thrower, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, October 24, 2020.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, the son of Irene Rush Thrower and the late Audrey Lee Thrower, Rev. Thrower retired from Juniper Bay Baptist Church in Conway, SC. He was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church and proudly served with the US Navy.
Surviving are two sons, William R. Thrower (Christina) of Easley, and Charles W. Thrower (Susan) of Columbia; a daughter, Mamie Melinda Thrower of Easley; four grandchildren, Caleb Thrower (Allie), Matthew Thrower, Landon Thrower and Payden Thrower; and one great-grandchild, Bane Thrower.
In addition to his loving wife of 61 years, Rev. Thrower was predeceased by a brother, Jerry Wayne Thrower.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown Chapel.
The family will be at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juniper Bay Baptist Church Building Fund, 5265 Juniper Bay Road, Conway, SC 29527.
Due to the COVID-19 Crisis, only 50 persons will be allowed in the chapel for the service. The family requests all guests wear face masks and social distancing will be observed. Click the play button in the video player below to watch the service.
