Charles Whitaker

Charles A. Whitaker ,77, of Greenville passed away Sunday January 9,2022. Born in Greenville he is the son of the late Bailey and Mary Etta Whitaker and husband to Brenda Whitaker.

Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Truth Missionary Baptist Church. He loved watching westerns and traveling.

In addition to his wife Brenda of 35 years, survivors include five sons; Allen Whitaker (Tonya), Joey Whitaker (Asuncion), Dendy Kirk (Jennifer), Joey Kirk (Tammy), Kevin Kirk, a daughter; Christy Turner (Kevin), and one sister; Sara Lewis.Charles also leaves 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren to share in his memory. Charles is predeceased by his parents,three brothers; Ray Whitaker, Robert Whitaker, Billy Joe Whitaker, and six sisters; Lillian Lambert, Marie Garrett, Ruth Norris, Kate Wardell, Mary Allen, Sandra Masters and a daughter in law; Christy Kirk.

A visitation will be on Wednesday January 12, 2022 10am until 10:45 at Robinson Funeral Home Powdersville Road. Service will follow in the Robinson Funeral Home Chapel at 11am. The family will have a private committal service.
