Cheryl Cordell Wilkins, 73, of Easley, South Carolina, passed away on September 21, 2026, at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.

Born on August 2, 1953, in England, to the late Robert L. and Retha Ashley Cordell.

Cheryl was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She graduated from A.C. Reynolds High School in Asheville, North Carolina. Cheryl worked for MT Project as a Housing Director, where she managed the HUD Self-Help and Rehabilitation Department. Through her work, she was committed to helping individuals and families improve their housing and create better lives for themselves. As a Christian and single mother, Cheryl was a woman of remarkable strength, compassion, and determination. She worked hard to provide for her family while always finding ways to help others along the way. Cheryl’s willingness to give of herself, even during challenging times, spoke volumes about the kind of person she was—selfless, caring, and deeply devoted to those she loved. In her free time, Cheryl found great joy in renovating and decorating her home, an avid reader who especially enjoyed romance and mystery novels. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Cheryl is survived by her only and loving daughter, Mahalie W. Miller (Brandon) of Easley, SC; her three grandsons, Noah Cordell, Mason Charles, and Liam Joseph Miller; her precious granddaughter, Emma Grace Miller; her niece, Leigha Cordell; her nephew, Scott Cordell (Jola) and their daughters, Ella and Sophia Cordell; and her sister-in-law, Michelle Cordell.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 24, 2026, in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1 Chapel of Faith Drive, Candler, NC 28715, officiating Reverend Allen Rash. The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
