Cheryl Reese Wyatt, 65, of Wyatt Rd., loving wife of Luther Pitts "Luke" Wyatt, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at McCall Hospice House.
Born July 10, 1947 in Greenville County, she was predeceased by her parents, Gentry and Mildred Mull Reese. Mrs. Wyatt was a 1965 graduate of Travelers Rest High School and attended Draughon's Business College and Greenville Technical College. She worked forty plus years in the legal field with various attorneys in the Greenville area having retired after seventeen years as an assistant with Stanley McLeod at the law firm of Brown, Massey, Evans, McLeod & Haynsworth, LLC.
Mrs. Wyatt was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and a member of the Inspiration Bible Fellowship Class. She will be remembered as a praying wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to all who knew her. She was a devoted great aunt affectionately called Nana by Ella and Beck Baab. She enjoyed making new acquaintances and cherished her lifelong friendships. She especially loved traveling with her husband and spending time with family.
In addition to her husband of forty-seven years, she is survived by her son, Dave Eric Wyatt of Easley; her brother, Gary Gentry Reese of Travelers Rest; her niece Tara Reese Baab (Ben) of Greer; her beloved great niece and great nephew, Ella Kathryn Baab and Beck Reese Baab; her step-mother, Grace Reese; two aunts, Jessie Mull Hall of Easley and Frances Reese of Travelers Rest, an uncle, Ray Reese (Mary) of Travelers Rest; numerous cousins whom she loved dearly; and two brother-in-laws, John R. Wyatt (Brenda) and James B. Wyatt (Remona).
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Rock Spring Baptist Church with Dr. David Gallamore officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens. The Inspirational Bible Fellowship Class will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642, or to the charity of one's choice.
The family will be at their respective residences.
