Our beautiful husband, father, brother, and uncle has passed. His great heart, sense of humor, and enormous gift of compassion continues to live on in the lives of his family and friends.
Christopher M. "Chris" Beals, 59, of 105-A Fairway Oaks Lane, died Friday, August 14, 2009.
Born in Biloxi, MS, son of the late John Thomas and Ann McCutcheon Beals, Chris was a resident of South Carolina for twenty-six years, but always loved the wild beauty of the Southern California coastline.
Surviving are his wife, Jayne Smith Beals of Easley; two sons, Jonathan Luke Beals and Matthew Timothy Beals, both of Aurora, CO; daughter, Rachel Moriah Beals of Seattle, WA; brother, Michael Beals of Tampa, FL; sister, Catherine Champion of Houston, TX; and niece, Mara Kristin Pierce of Albuquerque, NM.
Carved deeply into Chris' heart, where he fought long and hard to live by them, are these words, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding." This intention was supported by his deep love for God and his religious community.
We love you Chris. We love you, Dad. May you find the peace in death that you did not find in life.
