Mrs. Christine Timmons "Smick" Freeman, 96, wife of the late James E. Freeman, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017.
Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Colonel Lee Timmons and the late Rachel Rebecca Tate Timmons, Mrs. Freeman was a homemaker and a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sons, Ronnie H. Freeman (Joyce) of Powdersville, Stanley G. Freeman (Becky) of Columbia, James Cary Freeman (Jane) of Easley, and Jerry L. Freeman of Powdersville; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Freeman was predeceased by two brothers, Edgar and Grover Timmons; and two sisters, Gertrude White and Pauline Morton.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Rehoboth Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Grove Station Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM Saturday at the church, prior to the service.
Family members are at their respective homes.
