Christopher D. Dunmyer

March 18, 1980 — July 6, 2007

Christopher Daniel Dunmyer, 27, died Friday, July 6, 2007. A native of Lexington, SC, he is the son of Timothy Edward and Kathryn Godley Dunmyer. He was a graduate of Lexington High School, a 2002 graduate of Clemson University with a degree in bio-chemistry and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2006. He was a member of the Lexington Baptist Church. He was a sports enthusiast, especially all Clemson sports. He loved Clemson and Clemson University and was so proud to be a part of this wonderful place. He had many close friends from high school, Clemson and MUSC whom he loved dearly. They were considered as extended family members of the Dunmyer family.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife of six months, Becky Simpson Dunmyer; grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. W. Cecil Godley of Clemson and Mrs. Janet Binga of North Tonawanda, NY, sister, Sarah Elizabeth Dunmyer of Lexington and aunts and uncles, Barbara and John Fulmer of Hixon, TN, Jeannie and Steve Rigdon of Tifton, GA, Debbie and Bob Handley of North Tonawanda, NY, Jeff and Mary Binga of Lockport, NY, Greg Binga of Newfane, NY, David Dunmyer of North Tonawanda, NY and 9 cousins.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Clemson on Sunday at 3pm. The family will receive friends at the church from 2-3pm prior to the service. There will be a family urn burial at Cemetery Hill in Clemson on Monday at 10am. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Clemson University Foundation, Attn.: Christopher Dunmyer Fund, PO Box 1889, Clemson, SC 29633. The family is at 103 Lewis Road, Clemson, SC 29631.
