Born in Greenville on November 26th, 1973, Jay was a beloved son of Robert E. Staggs and Karen C. Henderson.
Jay's greatest source of pride was his children; he loved them beyond measure. As a devoted father, nothing pleased him more than coaching them during sporting events or attending their school events. He always worked to instill the values of hard work and dedication within them. His unwavering love will be forever remembered by those who knew him.
Jay attended Easley High School and worked as an Outside Sales Representative for Crescent Supply Company, where he found great joy in building relationships with his customers. Beyond his professional achievements, Jay had many passions and interests that brought him immense joy throughout his life. Hunting and fishing were at the very top of his list. He spent countless hours enjoying nature's wonders while seeking a good catch. He also had a green thumb and enjoyed spending time tending to his garden and was a very good cook. Jay attended NewSpring Church and was a Mason with the Seneca Masonic Lodge #185.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three children, Greysun Staggs, Matthew Staggs, and Taylor Staggs; a stepfather, Tommy Henderson; three siblings, Joshua Bentley Staggs, Shawn Thomas Henderson, and Jennifer Diane Henderson; his two beloved dogs, Ruger and Lola; and many other friends who were like family to him.
