Charles Eddy "Chuck" Bass, 78, of 310 Elmwood Street, died Saturdaay, March 20, 2010, at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Hamilton, TX, a son of the late James Oscar and Marie Kourt Bass, Mr. Bass retired from the US Air Force after twenty years of service after which he worked with Townsend Pontiac, Fairway Ford and later with Lockheed-Martin. He also taught classes at Greenville Tech for Lockheed-Martin. Mr. Bass was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Loftis Bass of the home; a son, Mike Bass and wife, Kathy, of Easley; two daughters, Sharon Davis and husband, Mike, and Janice Blanton and husband, John, all of Easley; a brother, Duke Bass of Phoenix, AZ; three sisters, Nadine Parkman of San Antonio, TX, and Catherine Schlemmer and Billie Hartman, both of Phoenix, AZ; a half brother, J.M. "Button" Bass of Hamilton, TX; a half-sister, Sissy Bass of Hamilton, TX; six grandchildren, Jennifer Cleveland and husband, Ray, Jonathan Davis, Morgan Bass, Christopher Blanton, Cameron Blanton and Cody Blanton; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bass was predeceased by two brothers, Donald Bass and by his twin brother, William Grady Bass.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Veteran's Garden of Honor of Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m.. Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Baptist Hospital Easley and Interim Hospice for their loving care of Mr. Bass.
