Clantis Sue Franklin Thomas, 94, of 626 Medlock Circle, died Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at the Hospice House of Anderson.

Born in Aiken, she was a daughter of the late Burgess M. and Ida Virginia Creed Franklin. She was retired from Milliken where she worked for 32 years. She was a member of University Lutheran Church in Clemson and the Hilltoppers.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Dyar and husband Hugh of Pendleton; two sisters, Doris Redd of Aiken, Bernice Cone, of N. Augusta; seven grandchildren, Kathy Hestir, David Dyar, Scott Dyar, Tina Peterson, Michael Thomas, Betsy McClellan, Sherrie Templeton, fifteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frontis Odel Thomas, Sr.; a son, Frontis O. Thomas, Jr.; two sisters; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Thursday, in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Hartsell officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be prior to the service on Thursday from 2 PM until 3 PM at the funeral home.
