Clara R. Cothran

Clara Rackley Cothran, 74, wife of Harold A. Cothran, of 204 Carolyn Road, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Mrs. Cothran was born in Liberty, SC, a daughter of the late Joseph Floyd and Jewell Johnson Rackley.
She was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and was the retired owner and operator of T and L Yarn Co. She served for many years as a volunteer at Palmetto Health Baptist - Easley.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Michael D. Cothran and his wife Dodie of Easley; a daughter, Karen Cassell, of Easley; two brothers, Franklin Rackley of Brevard, NC and Aubrey Rackley of Lake Toxaway, NC and three grandchildren, Jessica Cothran, Brianna Cothran and Trent Cassell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Lynn Cothran and three brothers, Donald, Rubin and Bobby Rackley.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, officiated by Rev. Rodney Graham and Rev. Jim Spencer. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum at Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Friday from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
The escort of honor for the service will be the Willing Workers Sunday School Class of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.
