Mrs. Clara Dacus Hamilton, 76, wife of Frank H. Hamilton, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at her home.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Prue Milton and Vera Elaine Friddle Dacus, Mrs. Hamilton retired from West Point Pepperell and was a member of Georges Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of fifty-six years, are two daughters, Melissa Johnson (Philip) and Kim Roe (Ben), all of Easley; three brothers, Howard Dacus of Asheville, NC, Kenneth Dacus of Easley and Prue Dacus, Jr., of Pickens; four sisters, Olivia Batson of Columbia, Marcell Santzen of Florida, Linda Jones of Easley and Cheryl Miller of Anderson; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hamilton was predeceased by a brother, Grover Dacus.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2012 at Georges Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until 1:15 p.m. Friday at the church prior to the service.
The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Ben Roe, 587 Kay Drive, Easley, SC 29640.
