Clara Long Elrod Jameson, 90, widow of Floyd B. Elrod and Leo Jameson, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Majesty Health and Rehab.

Born in Anderson County, to the late Ezekiel and Dora Smith Long, Clara was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church. Mrs. Jameson loved to travel with her family and friends whenever she could. Out of all the places she went, her favorite was her trip to Hawaii.

Mrs. Jameson is survived by a daughter, Brenda Martin and her husband Reverend Gerald Martin; four grandchildren, Tami Sickels (Jim), Reverend Brent Martin (Marian), Reverend Shane Martin (Cara) and Chris Martin (Chancy); and nine great-grandchildren, Gabe, Zane, Jack, Maci Clare and Zeke Sickels, Luke, Owen, Tess and Joah Martin.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, December 13, 2013 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church in Easley, with the Reverends Gerald Martin, Shane Martin, Brent Martin and Dr. Keith Shorter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 2:45 P.M. Friday, prior to the service at the church.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Brenda Martin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Airy Baptist Church, 210 Mt. Airy Church Road, Easley, SC 29642, or to Holly Springs Baptist Church, 3450 Table Rock Road, Pickens, SC 29671.

The family would like to thank the staff of Majesty Health and Rehab for all of the care and compassion they showed Mrs. Jameson during her time with them.
