Clarence Olin Browning, 85, of 407 Brushy Creek Road, husband of the late Jessie McNeely "Jett" Browning, died recently at his home.

Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Claude Ostell and Etha Gray Browning, Mr. Browning retired from ARA in Greenville and was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church. He was a US Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Mari and Nick Melehes of Greenville; two brothers, Wallace Browning of Easley, and J.C. Browning of Stafford, VA; a sister, Virginia Stephens of Easley; a son-in-law, Dr. Joe Tollison of Lexington, KY; and two grandchildren, Wade Tollison and Julie Tollison. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Browning was predeceased by a daughter, Betty B. Tollison, and by three brothers, Jack, Willie Lee and Horace Browning.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. John Adams officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concerned Citizens for Animals, P.O. Box 1332, Simpsonville, SC 29681.

The family is at the home of Sherri and Tommy Lee, 206 Spring Drive, Easley, SC 29642.
