Clarence William Dull, 90, of Easley, husband of Linda Frain Dull, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023.
Born in Scottdale, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Gerald Alfred and Sadie Elizabeth Kesler Dull. Clarence was a man known for his kind heart and willingness to lend a helping hand. No matter the task at hand, he would always find a way to assist others and brighten their day with his warm smile. He possessed a rare gift of being able to strike up conversations effortlessly, making everyone feel heard and valued. An honorable veteran of the Korean War, Clarence proudly served his country with distinction. His courage and dedication to duty were exemplary, reflecting his immense love for his homeland. We are forever grateful for his sacrifice and service. Outside of his professional life and military service, Clarence found joy in pursuing various hobbies and interests. Spending time in his garage tinkering with old cars brought him immense satisfaction. Whether it was restoring classic automobiles or working on small projects, he found solace in exercising his skills as a machinist. Gardening became another source of fulfillment for Clarence—cultivating beautiful plants and nurturing them brought him great pride. The vibrant colors that adorned his garden were an expression of his creativity and love for nature. Traveling also held a special place in Clarence's heart. Exploring new places near and far allowed him to embrace different cultures and experiences. He cherished the memories made during these adventures and eagerly shared captivating stories upon his return.
In addition to his wife, Clarence is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Dull, Michael Dull (Marlene), Alan Dull (Faye), stepson Raymond Koffman (Judy); two daughters Kimberly Thornton (Peter), Sheila Dew (James), daughter in law Brenda Dull, and stepdaughter, Saundra Sutherland (Frankie); a sister, Geraldine Stape; nine grandchildren Vanessa, Justin, Spencer, Brianna, Darlene,Jeffrey,Jessica, Stephanie, Jennifer, as well as five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Patrick William Dull; and a brother, Elmer Dull.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road. Burial will follow at Robinson Memorial Gardens.
