Clarice Kirby - Gilstrap

Clarice Mamie Sims Kirby - Gilstrap, 92, wife of the late Pelham Kirby, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at her home.
Mrs. Gilstrap was born in Fork Shoals, SC, a daughter of the late Melvin and Ethel Thompson Sims. She retired from Regal Textiles - Ware Shoals Plant and was a member of Waycross Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Jack Kirby (Connie) of Pelzer; one sister, Mable Tinsley (Joel) of Greenville; one daughter-in-law, Robbie Joe Kirby of Gainesville, FL; three grandchildren, Larry Kirby, of Greenville, Mike Kirby, of Pelzer and Johnny Kirby, of Gainesville, Florida ; 3 great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Kirby was predeceased by one son, Bruce Kirby; five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Lebanon United Methodist Church in Honea Path with the Reverend Mark Alexander and the Reverend Diane Boyer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Friday, prior to the service, at the church.
The family is at the residence.
